The NFL world reacts to Chiefs’ new Offensive Coordinator

Is it time for Matt Nagy to party like it’s 2016? The former Kansas Chiefs offensive coordinator is returning to that role after taking the Chicago Bears head coaching job in 2018. He served as the Chiefs’ quarterbacks coach last season. The NFL world reacted to Nagy getting the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator job for a second time.

The move came after Eric Bieniemy accepted a promotion with the Washington Commanders this offseason. Nagy was speculated as a prime replacement for Bieniemy. The Chiefs announced on their Twitter feed they made Nagy’s hiring for the offensive coordinator position official Friday afternoon. This will be Nagy’s first time as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator with Patrick Mahomes as his full-time quarterback.

    Fans respond to the hire

Not long after the Chiefs made the announcement, the NFL world took to social media to react to the hire. Here are the best takes on Twitter on Nagy taking the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator position.

. @BarstoolBigCat when Andy retires in 3 years, Nagy is next in line for head coach. Then he gets Mahomes in his prime for another 5-7 years and probably 3 rings as head coach. Nagy gets inducted to the hall of fame and is considered one of the greatest offensive minds ever… https://t.co/QhI7qGDEt0
