NFL Week 7 is right around the corner and bettors are looking for any edge they can get. If you are not loving the point spreads, perhaps an over/under may catch your eye.
These are three you should take a look at.
Atlanta Falcons Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Under 37
My favorite Over/Under bet this week is with this NFC South clash. The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers average just over 34 points per game combined.
It does not help that these teams are led by quarterbacks Desmond Ridder and Baker Mayfield. Both average about 212 passing yards per game.
Both defenses also only allow just over 37 points combined. It is safe to say that points look like they will come at a premium in this game.
With two below-average offenses and two above-average defenses in the NFL clashing, I love the Under in this game.
Washington Commanders Vs. New York Giants Under 37.5
This game is similar to the above. It is another divisional clash that has a very low projected point total. However, when you start looking deeper at this matchup, you start to see why.
Both the Washington Commanders and New York Giants have big problems protecting their quarterback. They are first and second in the NFL when it comes to sacks allowed.
These two teams have allowed 67 sacks combined in six games. For each team, that is an average of about 5.5 sacks per game.
On the Giants’ side of things, they have health to worry about too. Their offensive line is depleted with several injuries this week alone. It has gotten so bad that they called Justin Pugh “straight off the couch.”
Still, their offense is mediocre at best. They score the fewest points per game in the NFL.
New York is also on an insane scoring drought. They have not scored an offensive touchdown in 13 quarters and they have only scored three points at home this entire season.
Neither team runs the ball well either. Both average fewer than 100 rushing yards per game.
When you combine all of these factors, the safest bet here is to expect a low-scoring game.
Miami Dolphins Vs. Philadelphia Eagles Over 51.5
For those of you looking for a good Over bet, good things come to those who wait. You will have to wait a while for this one because it is the Sunday Night Football game this week.
It is no secret that the Miami Dolphins are on a tear offensively. They lead the NFL in every relevant offensive category. This includes points per game (37.2), passing yards per game (316.8), and rushing yards per game (181.8).
While Miami is on a historic run, the Philadelphia Eagles put up good offensive numbers of their own. They rank ninth in passing yards per game (245), second in rushing yards per game (150), and fifth in points per game (25.8).
If that wasn’t enough, Miami’s defense has not been the most reliable this season. They allow more points per game (26) than any other team with a winning record.
Admittedly, Philadelphia has a great rush defense, allowing the second-fewest rushing yards per game (65.8) in the NFL.
However, considering Miami’s weak defense and elite wide receiver weapons such as Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, I expect there to be a lot of points in this game.
