The San Francisco 49ers offense is full of weapons. While some have questioned Brock Purdy at the quarterback position, there is no denying that the combination of Deebo Samuel, Bradon Aiyuk, and Christian McCaffrey is difficult to stop. Ahead of their week 4 matchup, Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon thinks the 49ers offense is the “best in the world.”
San Francisco 49ers Offense: “Best In the World”
Gannon and the Cardinals have a tough task ahead of them on Sunday. The 49ers have looked almost unstoppable in the first three games and look like the clear favorite in the NFC. Gannon’s praise is for Kyle Shanahan and how he draws up the plays. “Obviously, the scheme is probably the best in the world,” Gannon said in a recent press conference. The fact that Shanahan has been able to have so much success with a rotating quarterback room is a testament to his scheme.
The Most Complete Team?
It isn’t just the offense that has been devastating this season. The defense led by Nick Bosa has been suffocating to opposing offenses. Teams have struggled to block the defensive line and Fred Warner is one of the best at the middle linebacker position. What makes this team so difficult to play is they can beat you in so many ways. If Purdy struggles a little bit or injuries hit key players, the defense can lock things down. If the defense starts slipping a little, Purdy and the offense can create chunk plays easily.
Saying the San Francisco 49ers offense is the “best in the world” is high praise from an opposing coach. We shall see if the Cardinals can shock the world again and beat another top NFC team in week 4.
