The Jacksonville Jaguars are apparently moving away from Ashton Jeanty and showing interest in bringing Tetairoa McMillan in the upcoming NFL draft according to Jeremy Fowler from ESPN. The Jaguars have the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft and need to bring in more receivers for their roster.
The Jacksonville Jaguars finished third in the AFC South in the 2024 NFL season, winning only four games and losing 13. The Jaguars played their very last game of the season against the Indianapolis Colts, losing the game in overtime, 26-23. The Jaguars will be eager to improve their record in the upcoming season, and hopefully will make smart draft choices.
“Multiple teams picking in the top 10 are under the impression Jacksonville could go offense there. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is on the Jaguars’ radar as the best offensive player available at that spot. He’s on the proverbial short list. One of the GMs I spoke to thinks wide receiver isn’t off the table for Jacksonville in the first round, as the team could pair Brian Thomas Jr. with someone such as Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan.” Jeremy Fowler said in an ESPN report on Tuesday.
Tetairoa McMillan last played for the Arizona Wildcats from 2022 to 2024 as a wide receiver, and won the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year award in his senior year. McMillan managed an impressive 84 receptions for 1,316 yards, scoring eight touchdowns in his final year with the Arizona Wildcats.

Tetairoa McMillan Keen On Playing For Green Bay Packers In Upcoming NFL Season
Meanwhile, Tetairoa McMillan seems to be eyeing another team other than the Jacksonville Jaguars. In a recent conversation with reporters, McMillan was asked about his opinion on perhaps playing for the Green Bay Packers, to which the wide receiver had a pretty positive response.
“They’ve been showing me nothing but love throughout this whole draft process… I feel like I could fit in any offense well. But this one specifically, yeah.” Tetairoa McMillan said to reporters about possibly playing for the Green Bay Packers in the 2025 NFL season.

On Monday, the Green Bay Packers hosted Tetairo McMillan, who even managed to meet the team’s general manager, Brian Gutekinst. Despite the team already having talented wide receivers, it looks like they are aiming to bring in a real super receiver, something that McMillan can easily fulfill. The Packers will keep their fingers crossed to do better after finishing third in the NFC North in the last season.
