The Cleveland Browns will have a major quarterback competition leading up to the 2025 NFL season. Cleveland has five quarterbacks on the roster.

Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco have been in the NFL for quite some time. The other two quarterbacks on the Browns roster are rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Obviously, the Browns will not keep all five quarterbacks on the roster for the 2025 season. Cleveland will most likely cut two quarterbacks before the 2025 NFL season. The question is, which ones will they keep and which ones will they cut? That is something that head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry will have to decide.
Former NFL Quarterback Talks About the Pressure Cleveland Browns Quarterback Shedeur Sanders Faces In Making the Roster

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel talked on The Facility on Fox Sports 1 about the pressure that Sanders has on himself to make the Browns roster for the 2025 NFL season. Daniel said on Tuesday’s show,
“There will be pressure on Shedeur to make the roster. You have to make a name for yourself because what you did cannot take you any further.”
During the 2024 college football season with the Buffaloes, he completed 74.0% of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. It was a surprise that he slipped to the fifth-round, but that is where he went in the 2025 NFL Draft (144th overall).
There will be a major spotlight on Sanders during training camp and in preseason games for Cleveland in 2025. If he does not make the roster, it will be interesting to see what he does after that with his football career. Sanders has to be better than at least two quarterbacks to make the team for the 2025 NFL season also.
