Breaking News: 2nd NFL Owner Named In Jeffery Epstein Files (Report)

Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris has been named in newly unsealed Jeffrey Epstein documents, sparking immediate and intense backlash from NFL fans and Commanders supporters calling for his resignation or forced sale of the team.

NFL Owners Named in Jeffrey Epstein Files: Commanders’ Josh Harris Linked – Fans Demand Immediate Resignation

The documents, part of ongoing civil litigation disclosures, show Harris referenced in years of email exchanges with Epstein and at least one visit to Epstein’s Manhattan residence.

The files describe an “ongoing business relationship” involving phone calls and meetings, though no allegations of criminal wrongdoing or participation in Epstein’s crimes are made against Harris in the released materials.

Harris’ team has officially released a response to the situation:

“Josh Harris never had an independent relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Harris sought to prevent Epstein’s attempts to develop a corporate relationship with Apollo. As these emails indicate, Harris sought to avoid meeting with Epstein, canceling meetings and having others return his calls.”

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the department would be releasing more than 3 million pages of documents in the latest Epstein disclosure, as well as more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. The files, posted to the department’s website, include some of the several million pages of records that officials said were withheld from an initial release in December.

Commanders Fans React with Rage: “Josh Harris Out” Trending

Within hours of the reports, #JoshHarrisOut and #FireHarris were trending among Commanders Twitter accounts. The overwhelming sentiment is that any link to Epstein is unacceptable for an NFL owner, especially one who promised a fresh start after buying the team:

Selected fan reactions from X:

  • “Josh Harris in Epstein files? Sell the team or get out. We escaped Snyder just to get this?”
  • “New owner, same garbage. Harris tied to Epstein is the final nail. Boycott until he’s gone.”
  • “Commanders fans thought we were done with scandals. Nope. Harris out NOW.”
  • “If the NFL lets an owner linked to Epstein stay, the league is finished. Goodell do your job.”
  • “Epstein connection + mediocre football = Harris must sell. This franchise deserves better.”

While a smaller group urged waiting for full context (“No crime alleged — don’t rush to judgment”), the dominant tone is anger and betrayal, with many threatening to boycott games, merchandise, and even streaming services unless ownership changes.

Brief Mention of Giants Co-Owner Steve Tisch

The same document release also mentions New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch in similar social and contact contexts from the early 2010s. Giants fans have reacted with comparable outrage, with #FireTisch trending alongside Harris-related hashtags. The dual mentions have amplified calls for NFL-wide ownership accountability.

Broader Implications for the NFL

Neither the Commanders nor the Giants have issued additional statements beyond initial denials. The NFL has not commented, as no criminal charges or league policy violations are involved. However, sustained fan pressure could lead to boycotts, protests, or formal reviews of ownership fitness.

For the Commanders, already navigating a rebuild under new leadership, the Epstein link threatens to undermine fan trust at a critical time. Whether this becomes a real movement to force Harris out or fades remains to be seen — but right now, Commanders fans are making their voices heard loud and clear.

This is a developing story. We will update with any official responses from the NFL, the Commanders, or Harris himself.
