Pop icon Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, dropped last week, and it took many of her fans by surprise. One of the songs, ‘Wood,’ was particularly raunchy and unlike the kind of songs the 35-year-old billionaire is known for. Now, days after the song dropped, Swift’s fiancée and tight end Travis Kelce has given his reaction to the innuendos used by Swift.

Jason asked, “How do you feel about ‘Wood’? Let’s ask this. How do you feel about ‘Wood’?”

Travis burst out in laughter and responded, “It’s a great song. Any song that she references to me is a very… I love that girl so any song that she would reference me in any way or form.”
Swift’s track ‘Wood’ uses sexual innuendo and double entendres, which many fans have referenced to Travis’ manhood. A few metaphors, such as “Redwood tree,” “hard rock,” and “new heights of manhood,” were used in the song, which Jason pointed out were directly referenced.
He asked, “Are you feeling cocky about ‘Wood’? It’s not just an appendage, it’s something very particular. You’re out of your mind. Jesus Christ, Travis. C’mon. ‘Redwood tree, ain’t hard to see.’ I thought ‘redwood’ was a bit… generous.”

Jason isn’t alone, as critics and fans have responded similarly to the track. However, Travis stood tall for his fiancée and gushed out that people do not understand the song. He said, “I think you’re not understanding the song.”
Despite accepting that the song made a direct reference to him, Travis advocated that the song was based on superstitions. Interestingly, Swift’s mother also believes the same.
In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, Swift revealed the song began innocently but evolved provocatively. While Travis laughed, discussing this, he reiterated his support for the track.
“Watching her go through all of her press tour or radios and all these talk shows—she’s looked amazing, sounded amazing and this album is absolutely amazing,” Travis said.
Meanwhile, Jason concluded the segment by referring to himself as the Japanese Maple, which Travis found hilarious.
