Just recently, NFL icon Shannon Sharpe posted a video of himself lifting in the gym. A few days after, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith dropped his reaction, just as the former Denver Broncos star is about to return to his on-air duties.
Sharpe made a highly-anticipated return to ESPN’s First Take after a summer break, but his comeback was briefly disrupted by technical difficulties. The NFL legend, who joined the show last season, was welcomed back in grand fashion by his on-air sparring partner Stephen A. Smith.
Smith set the stage by praising Sharpe and cuing up a montage showcasing his best moments from his debut year on First Take. However, as the former tight end joined the show virtually, he appeared to experience some technical issues, with the ex-NFL star seen waving his hand and removing his headphones. Co-host Molly Qerim and Smith expertly kept the program rolling as Sharpe’s technical difficulties were resolved.
Sharpe, a three-time Super Bowl champion, expressed his excitement to be back on the program. He told viewers that it’s unbelievable, life is good, and he’s excited to be back. The Pro Bowler also acknowledged the discussions on the show in his absence by acknowledging what his co-hosts had a lot to talk about without him and he has a lot to say during his return.
