NFL fans are torching the New York Jets yet again. This team is in one of the worst spots in their organization’s history. When they got the future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, this team had the highest expectations, and now they are firing everyone and losing games every week. After firing their GM, they are now using a previously fired GM to find their next leader of the franchise.
You really can’t make this stuff up, and fans are not letting the Jets off the hook for how awful their organization is, and the circus that has been the last two seasons.
NFL Fans All Ripping The Jets Owner and Organization

The circus continues as the Jets are in the middle of their search for a new head coach and a new GM after firing both of theirs throughout the season. Now the franchise is turning their former general manager Mike Tannenbaum to help find new leadership for the team.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN: “Jets are retaining The 33rd Team to support them on their upcoming general manager and head coaching searches. Former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum and Vikings general manager Rick Spielman will lead the project for the NFL Technology and Media company.” Noting, “The 33rd Team will provide its data analysis and experience to assist the Jets in their search for new leadership.”
After this was reported, many fans and analysts took to social media to rip the team for how awful their organization has been, and it does not look like there is any end in sight to this mess. The Ringer’s Sean Fennessey was among the fans who ripped the Jets on social media and he pointed out:
“Hiring the GM you fired to hire your next GM. Can’t make it up. Worst franchise in professional sports.”

Everyone around the NFL was in agreement with that take:
“I see this in business,” Bill Gurley replied. “‘Hire your replacement.’ Uggh. No way that is optimal.”
“We are destined to be cursed,” a fan said.
“The GM who last won a playoff game for the Jets…” another commented.
“Not a good year for Football in Jersey.”
“Just think in 2-3 years maybe Joe Douglas can assist as well,” another user posted.
“Woody is making Dolan and the Wilpons look competent right now,” a New Yorker claimed.
The Jets owner Woody Johnson wants to do things his way, and that has never worked for decades now. The Jets may get a huge win though as Johnson will return to his ambassadorship under the Trump administration in the president-elect’s second term, and that will hopefully take him away from all football operations so that team can be run properly.
Hopefully, the Jets can get things back on track eventually, as they have really been a suffering franchise for a long time now. If Johnson is taken out of the decision-making, they can get the right people in the building to get back on track.
