NFL fans were all destroying representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after she made quite the idiotic comment about disturbing Philadelphia Eagles fans during their Sunday game, to get them to vote for Kamala Harris in the upcoming election that is less than two weeks away.
It does not take any genius to know that that is an awful idea. Eagles fans are quite the rowdy bunch in general and to try to get them to vote while they are watching their team on Sunday is just clueless beyond belief. She has since walked those comments back but not after Eagles and NFL fans ripped her on social media for her ridiculous idea.
NFL Fans Could Not Get Over Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Terrible Idea
In the middle of the Eagles game on Sunday, AOC advised and encouraged people in Pennsylvania to go out knocking on their neighbor’s doors to talk to them about the upcoming election in the middle of the game, because fans were home watching. Tell me you know nothing about Eagles fans and NFL football without telling me you know nothing.
Rightfully so, AOC was ripped by NFL fans who highlighted just how awful an idea this is. She later walked back the comments as it should be obvious that knocking on Eagles fan’s doors is just a really bad idea:
This is correct.
And the Eagles are on right now so if you knock doors or hop on a text/dialer many of them may be home 🚪☎️🚪☎️🚪

“This is correct. And the Eagles are on right now so if you knock doors or hop on a text/dialer many of them may be home,” she wrote on X. “LET’S GET THOSE CONTACT RATES UP.”
Here are the best fan reactions:
Wait… so your bright idea is to bother Eagles fans while the Eagles game is on?

“Respectfully I can’t think of a worse way or time to speak to Eagles fans about voting,” one person said.
“Let’s bug people on a Sunday while they’re watching the game,” a second person tweeted. “That should go over well.”
Another person wrote, “Interrupting men watching football to talk about Kamala is certainly a strategy.”
“No one is answering a random door knock during the Eagles on football Sunday,” a fourth person replied.
Ocasio-Cortez eventually walked back her statement with a follow-up tweet. She said, “OK fine not a door but maybe a textbank.”
AOC will probably never make any comments like this again after such an uproar on social media, but the election is coming up in 13 days and it is a crucial one. While the middle of the games is not the right time to be talking about politics, there is plenty of time to get to that and that is very necessary.
