The NFL has changed drastically over the years, and the rules have changed with it. Many fans however are seeing too many flags in the final moments of games, that have been effectively deciding the game. While many fans do not see any issue with the way the games have been called, and the amount of flags being thrown each game, there are a growing number of fans who feel that the games are being rigged.
It is now known that the NFL owners have a stake in the sports gambling companies, and because of how big gambling has become and many other reasons, many fans are convinced that the NFL is rigged.
NFL Fans Called Multiple Games on Sunday Rigged
This all started with the Dallas Cowboys playing the Baltimore Ravens, in a game that the Ravens absolutely dominated until Dallas stormed back in the end to fall short 28-25. However, some egregious calls went in Dallas’ favor to get them back into the game.
There was one major call that sent fans into a frenzy with many calling the game rigged for Dallas to come back. There were even fans who were calling for the refs to be punished.

“This is why people think the league is rigged for Dallas. 2 awful calls in a row that gave Dallas first downs both times,” one fan wrote.
“Refs trying to hand Cowboys the game,” one fan added.
“NFL definitely rigged this Cowboys game,” one fan added.
“Rams and Cowboys games are rigged,” one fan added.
“Refs helping to decide another game. Cowboys are so overrated. Can’t believe they spent all this money on this qb,” another fan wrote.
“Gotta keep the cowboys in it somehow. NFL totally not rigged,” one fan added.
NFL fans went as far as to call for the referees to be punished for this blatant rigging. Even Lamar Jackson accused the refs of cheating in that game.
“That’s the “Let’s keep the Cowboys alive” call,” one fan wrote.
“What happened to the game I love,” one fan added.
“It’s all rigged. Just like politics,” one fan added.
“Ron Torbert and his crew suck,” one fan added.
“Ron Torbert crew just literally aided the Cowboys down the field. Simply astounding,” one fan added.
“Ron Torbert has to be the worst referee in the NFL,” another fan wrote.
That was not the only game that had fans losing their minds as that game was followed up with an even more bizarrely called game for the Kansas City Chiefs.
NFL Fans Are Convinced The Refs Favor the Kansas City Chiefs
Fans are not alone in their conviction that the NFL is being rigged, as players and analysts have also chimed in about the referees favoring certain teams. Every time the Chiefs step on the field at this point, there are crucial calls, or no-calls, that have gone in their favor.
Late in the fourth quarter again, the Chiefs lucked out after they committed a clear pass interference that was not called at the most crucial point of the game. The next Falcons’ drive, the officials, may have felt bad for not making that call, so they called four penalties against the Chiefs, but their defense was able to win the game for the team.

It is getting to a point where fans are walking away from the TV due to the subjective and controversial nature of the calls being made. There is no rhyme or reason why a call will be made for one side and not the other. The Chiefs have gone through multiple Super Bowls and playoff runs now in which they have not been called for an offensive holding a single time.
Maybe they are just that good, or maybe there are some really sketchy things at play here. It’s truly a shame that the greatest sport can be ruined by the officials highjacking the game late in the fourth quarter, but this is just a foreshadowing of what is to come in the postseason as well. This bias that fans believe the Chiefs have has been built over many seasons and it is not going away.
Everyone remembers the Super Bowl against the Eagles where the Chiefs were gifted a free win after one of the greatest football games fans have ever seen with a garbage defensive holding call. Let alone, the game before in the AFC championship against the Bengals that featured too many disgusting calls, including the Chiefs having five downs on one of their drives.
If this doesn’t change soon, it appears that many fans will give up on the sport that they once loved more than anything else. It is sad to see how many fans truly believe that the NFL is now the WWE:
