The NFL has made their official decision on players doing the Donald Trump dance in celebration of touchdowns or sacks. Many players have been doing the Trump dance pumping their fists after big plays, and one of them was the elite rookie star Brock Bowers.
When the media asked Bowers about his dance, he was pulled away from answering further questions and this is what sparked the debate for the league on whether or not to ban the dance. Now, NFL fans are all taking to social media to celebrate the league’s decision on the viral dance.
NFL Fans React To League’s Decision on Donald Trump Dance
The Trump dance has taken over the entire sports world at large not just the NFL. In the past few weeks, we have seen stars like Bowers and Nick Bosa do the dance after big plays, but in other sports, the dance has taken over as well. The greatest UFC fighter Jon Jones busted out the dance in front of Trump himself after a huge win, and the U.S.A. soccer star Christian Pulisic did the dance as well over the weekend.
Here are a couple of players around the sports world who have been doing the viral dance:

The NFL however, has wanted to stay away from politics, and so it had to decide on whether or not to ban the Trump dance. According to the league front office, they will not be banning the Trump dance. The league spokesperson Brian McCarthy revealed that there will be no fine or penalty for players who do the dance.
“There’s no issue with a celebratory dance such as what took place yesterday or the previous week with the 49ers on November 10,” said McCarthy.
The league’s rulebook allows for any type of celebration, just as long as they are not violent or gross. The Trump dance is harmless and all in good fun, so it would be quite crazy if the league banned that dance. Since the dance does not fall under any of their banned celebrations it is here to stay.
NFL fans have been loving the decision on social media, even non-Trump supporters are in favor of the decision:
“Good. I don’t fw Trump at all but it’s a dance it ain’t that damn deep,” one fan wrote.
“Good. Why would they even consider it?” one fan added.
“Why would someone get fined over a dance,” one fan added.
“Why would they it’s just a dance lol,” one fan added.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked what he thought about his players all getting together to dance, and he thought it was a cool thing and liked that a bunch of his players got involved in it:

“It was actually Leonard Floyd’s idea, and if you watch them, when Bosa got the sack Leonard Floyd started doing it and then Trump did it, I mean Bosa did it, then Sam O did it, and then Fred came in at the end and did it. Leonard egged them all on, and then they followed, and it was pretty cool to see,” he said.
The NFL seems to agree with Shanahan and the Trump dance will be here to stay. Now that the league has not banned it, we will probably see many more players doing it going forward.
