NFL Fans were all loving Patrick Mahomes‘ message to Josh Allen after the incredible Sunday matchup between the two best teams in the AFC. Allen has consistently gotten the better of Mahoems in the regular season but has yet to ever beat him in the playoffs. So Mahomes had a great message after the game that has left fans hype about the potential for another playoff matchup between these teams.
Patrick Mahomes Wants To See Josh Allen Again
The Buffalo Bills ended the Kansas City Chiefs‘ undefeated season and winning streak dating back to last season, and they looked like the better team from beginning to end of the game. They had multiple opportunities to blow the game wide open but finally were able to do so at the end of the 4th quarter with an incredible running touchdown from Allen on 4th down.
The Bills won the game 30-21, giving the Chiefs their first loss since the middle of last season. This game will loom large come playoff time, as the Bills can end up locking up the top spot and getting the crucial bye week if both teams have the same record at the end of the regular season.
According to Mahoems, this will not be the last time these teams play each other this season, as they could certainly matchup again in the playoffs where Mahomes is undefeated against Allen. After the gam ended, the two elite quarterbacks met at the middle of the field and Mahomes had a simple message for Allen: .
“We’ll do it again, baby,” he said.

NFL fans were all loving this quick interaction, and all praying for a matchup between these quarterbacks a they are arguably the top two guys in the league. Another playoff matchup between the two would be legendary given all the history between the teams. Allen has been dominant in the regular season against Mahomes, while Patrick has not lost yet to the Bills in the playoffs.
Here are the best fan reactions to Mahomes’ message:
“Bills just won their yearly mid season super bowl 😂😂 and in the playoffs they gonna go home crying once again 😂😂,” one fan wrote.
“Look what happens when the NFL doesn’t rig games for Taylor Swift,” one fan joked.
“Good to see Mahomes not having a temper tantrum this time,” one fan added.
“Josh Allen plays super bowls in November , KC plays them in February,” one fan added.
“Great game, little surprised that the Chiefs didn’t come back in the 4th though,” one fan added.
Mahomes remained as confident as ever after the loss in his post-game media press conference, and why shouldn’t he as the team just lost their first game in almost a year? While the Bills looked like the much better team for most of the game, they were not the best-coached team. In the playoffs, the coaching matters even more, and Mahomes knows this Chiefs team can definitely get the job done again this season:
“It’s a good football team, so there’s nothing to hang your head on,” Mahomes said postgame, via Pro Football Talk. “We feel like we can play better, so we will get back to work and try to use this as a spark so that we can be a better football team in the end. The undefeated thing was cool, but that’s not our ultimate goal. … I’m hoping that it is a benefit.
“I’m not going to say I or we relaxed, but at the same time I feel like we were just coming away with these wins at the end of the game. I think it’s going to spark us to have more urgency, especially at the start of football games, especially with the offense, and that comes from me and turning the ball over on the first drive. It’s something you can’t do in big games like this.”
The Chiefs will have an easy bounce-back game this upcoming week against the Panthers and have quite an easy schedule the rest of the way to lock up the top spot in the AFC and get the bye week. However, this loss should have the Chiefs a bit worried, as they have been in one-possession games all year long and have been able to gut out wins, but that has never been sustainable in the NFL.
