NFL fans are erupting over what the Dallas Cowboys quarterback has done this week regarding the media. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are off to a poor start this season, and things are only going to get more difficult with their tough schedule down the road.
The team is coming off a near-miraculous comeback against the Baltimore Ravens, and their quarterback has decided to make a bizarre move with the media as the team is sliding in the wrong direction.
Dak Prescott Declines to Speak With NFL Media
The Cowboys quarterback declined to speak with the media this entire week, in a bizarre move as this is the first time he has ever done anything like this in his career. Per Calvin Watkins, the team’s officials specifically asked Prescott not to speak to the media as they have a short week, playing the New York Giants on Thursday night.
This may be a move coming from owner Jerry Jones, as the team is in a borderline state of panic. It was known that before the season, Jones said that this would be a make-or-break year for their coaching staff. Their 1-2 start is not going to help anyone in the building, and tempers have already started to flair on the field.
Fans have been losing it, as they always do when it comes to the Cowboys:
‘”Please stop telling them we’re not playing with good effort, not practicing well, and not prepared,'” one fan tweeted.
“This shouldn’t fly, but Cowboys gonna Cowboy,” another fan tweeted.
“Lol. Dak started being honest with the media and look what it got him,” another tweet read.
“I personally HATE this but I get it … but I personally think OUR ENTIRE TEAM is too tense from the coaches to the players relax breathe smile laugh .. it’s week 4,” another tweet read.
This Cowboys game is one of the most significant in recent memory, as they have always been cruising in recent regular seasons, and have stalled in the postseason. This season however, the team looks mediocre at best, and if they start 1-3 with a loss to these Giants, it will be time to hit the absolute panic button.
