The NFL’s most accomplished coach has a surprising top landing spot according to all the reports, and fans can’t believe it. Bill Belichick has certainly been enjoying his time away from coaching with all the different projects he has going on, but he is all in on coming back for 2025.
There have been numerous reports that one top contender is emerging for Belichick in 2025. Shockingly there are now multiple reports from credible sources whispering that Belichick will head to the Jacksonville Jaguars after this season.
Multiple Insiders Think Bill Belichick Is Going To Jacksonville Jaguars
While the most popular guess for Belichick’s next coaching role has been the NFC East teams, specifically the Dallas Cowboys, there are now multiple insiders who have said that the Jaguars are the top contender.
Firstly, NFL insider Steve Ruiz said that Bill to Jacksonville is the league’s worst-kept secret when talking to Bill Simmons:
“Bill Belichick is gonna be coaching the Jaguars next season and we’ll know it by New Year’s. It won’t be official but it will be the worst kept secret in the NFL,” Ruiz said.
“First of all, I know some beat reporters down in Jacksonville and I think there’s already whispers there. I’ll start with that. The real reason why I believe this is Shad Khan is a hands off owner. I don’t think he’s gonna get spooked like Atlanta did when Bill Belichick comes in and goes ‘I want to run the organization like this. I want to have GM powers. I want to be able to hire my own coordinators. I want to be able to decide the direction of this franchise.’ I don’t think (Khan) is gonna get spooked by that.
“I think he’s going to like that. I think he’s going to want it. If Belichick comes in and throws those rings on the table, I think that’s enough. I think Shad Khan needs a proven winner – someone where he can’t get blamed for hiring the coach. Because if you hire Belichick and it doesn’t work out he can just go, ‘Yeah it’s the greatest coach ever.’”
Now, an even more prominent insider, who knows Belichick well, Albert Breer backed that in an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show this week. Breer also suggested that this is the team to watch in the running for Belichick.
“They’re just a sneaky one with Belichick for me,” Breer said. “Tony Khan has a really strong relationship with Bill Belichick.”
Breer added that Bill has “had the ear of ownership in that place for a while now,” referencing when Bill influenced the teams’ decision to hire Doug Marrone in 2017.

NFL Fans Can’t see Bill Belichick In Jacksonville
Fans just can’t see the most accomplished coach taking his talents to the Jaguars, as they don’t have the Belichick feel.

“Bill aint gonna wanna deal with all that London s–t tho,” another person added.
“This is gaining steam and seems to be less stupid every passing week,” said 1010XL’s Graham Walsh.
“Another Super Bowl winning retread that has power struggles with the front office? No thanks. We’re literally doing that right now and it’s awful,” a Jaguars fan chimed in.
“73 year old 17 games under .500 without Tom Brady Sounds exactly like a Jaguars hire,” a Chiefs fan said.
The Jaguars may be looking for a new head coach either way as they started their season 0-3 in embarrassing fashion. While that last tweet from the Chiefs fan is correct, Bill has never had another great quarterback outside of Tom Brady.
Bill may be just the right man to unlock Trevor Lawrence, an perhaps we will see them team up for 2025 and beyond.
