Ex-NFL GM: Dallas Cowboys Will Replace Dak Prescott with Shedeur Sanders In 2025

There is one ex-NFL general manager who thinks that this is Dak Prescott’s final year with the Dallas Cowboys.

It has been no secret that the contract negotiations between Prescott and the Cowboys have been poor, to say the least. This past week it got even stranger when the Cowboys took shots at the team’s owner

Dak has wanted the huge contract that he feels he deserves, as he has been amazing in the regular season, but the postseason has been a different story. The more time that continues, the more it seems that Dak will be playing elsewhere in 2025. After the comments he made this week, an ex-general manager sees Dallas going in a new direction.

As reported on Gridiron already:

Jerry had made recent comments on Dak and the situation heading into the season saying:

“I’m such a fan of Dak. And I appreciate all of the great things that we all know are there. And I appreciate his work ethic probably more than anything. I can’t tell you how proud I am that we’ve got him this year to start this campaign. … Dak’s situation right now for me has more to do with our situation than it does with the merits of Dak Prescott being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.”

The Cowboy’s star quarterback responded to these statements by saying:

“I stopped, honestly, listening to things (Jerry Jones) says to the media a long time ago. It doesn’t really hold weight with me.”

It seems that the negotiations are coming to problematic places, and while Jerry has always said he loves Dak and wants him to stay, that has been nothing but crocodile tears. As we all say, actions speak louder than words, and Dak’s time with Dallas could be coming to an end.

There is one former GM who thinks Dallas will replace Prescott with Shedeur Sanders!

Sheduer Sanders Will Replace Dak Prescott For The Dallas Cowboys

Former general manager Mike Tannenbaum firmly believes that Dallas is going to draft Shedeur in 2025 to replace their star quarterback.

While some may be higher on Sanders than others, he should be available later in the draft to a Cowboys team that could make the postseason this year. If the contract negotiations tell us anything, it’s that a long-term deal for Dak is highly unlikely at this point. Because of that, Tannenbaum sees Sanders as a more probable starter in Dallas than Dak!

“There’s a better chance, in my opinion, that Shedeur Sanders could be the quarterback [for the Cowboys] next year than Dak Prescott at this point,” Tannenbaum declared.

While Tannenbaum was resolute in his take, both fans and analysts were beyond perplexed by this take. Seeing that there would need to be so many different things that would have to happen, the likelihood of this is also astronomical.

Some fans even went as far as to say he needs to be drug tested for this take.

However, if Dak ends up leaving, who is the most probable starter for the team in 2025?
