NFL fans are in shock as the Dallas Cowboys came away with a slim victory they saw their top two defenders head to the locker room at the end of the game. Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs both left the game in their victory over the New York Giants, and Parsons specifically looked quite severe.
Dallas Cowboys Watch Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons’s Injury
Per Andrew Kusleika of Gridiron:
As he usually does, Parsons was all over when it comes to defensive alignment. Despite his designation as an edge rusher, he was trying to provide pressure and get to Giants quarterback Daniel Jones from the A-gap.
Parsons broke through the line and got tangled up with a Giants player’s weight on his lower body. He didn’t need a cart to get off the field, but he needed a cart to get to the locker room.
Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons limped off the field with assistance and was then carted to the locker room after suffering a leg injury on this play in the 4th quarter. pic.twitter.com/KMGSghr150

Parsons was carted off and being hugged on the sideline by all of his teammates following the injury. To make matters worse, they lost their best cornerback just before that, although that did not seem to be as bad of an injury.
To lose both of their star defenders is not something easy to overcome. We will have to wait and see how long if any time each of their stars is out.
Micah Parsons is a real one for this

As we watch Micah Parsons get carted off and Malik Nabors go into the blue tent I’d like to remind everyone that Thursday night games is an absolute dog shit move by the NFL. Always has been.

Just when you think it can’t get any worse for the #Cowboys already inadequate DL personnel… they do.
Who knows how much time Micah misses if any, but to those of you who’re pounding the table for Micah Parsons to be traded…. I hope you soon realize just how silly you sound. pic.twitter.com/Aw9vNcyxta

Micah Parsons –
Left foot, concern for:
-Midfoot sprain
-High ankle (hard to tell if defender rolled him into eversion but fits mechanism with foot planted and defenders weight displacement)Likely to undergo imaging to determine if fracture occurred

We will have to wait and see how long each of these star players are injured, but Thursday night football certainly takes it toll on these players.
