NFL news: Even the people closest to Bill Belichick have been taken by surprise by the twists and turns the 72-year-old’s love life has taken of late. After splitting up with long-time girlfriend Linda Holiday late last year, it was recently confirmed that the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach had moved on to a much younger lass.
Apparently, not all of Belichick’s friends are in favor of this new-found infatuation.
NFL News: Bill Belichick’s Friends Speak Out
A couple of people close to Belichick recently spilled the beans on Coach Bill’s previous relationship and how he’s now moved on. According to one source, even Belichick’s friends were pretty shocked when they learned about his breakup with Holiday:
“If I had the options with attractive young women that Bill has, who knows what would happen,” the source told Sean Neumann and Linda Marx of People. “All I can say is we like Linda and thought they were a great couple,” the source continues. “They were good together.”
The insider also says, “It was surprising to us and to others when they actually spit up. But there was something else on the horizon for him,” adding that ”when you are as well known as Bill and constantly exposed to temptations, then the door is open for problems.”
The way the source used the words “temptations” and “problems” seems to point to the notion that there’s more to this narrative than what’s on the surface.
The second source then went on to describe the type of person Belichick’s new girl, Jordon Hudson, is:
“Jordon is bright and ambitious and pretty well organized,” explaining, “It’s easy to see that Bill could become infatuated with her. She is young and attractive and interesting. I don’t know what she wants from him but they seem to be enjoying each other and like doing many of the same things.”
That said, the source “doesn’t see it as a serious, long-term thing.”
At this point, it seems that Belichick and Hudson are just having fun. That’s not exactly a common way to describe a 72-year-old’s love life, but as we all know, Coach Bill is anything but ordinary.
