NFL bettors around the league were absolutely furious over the way that the Dallas Cowboys game ended. The huge percentage of bets in that game were on the Cowboys to cover their 5.5 spread against the New York Giants, and they had the opportunity to do just that with 50 seconds left in the game, and with the best kicker the league may have ever seen.
80% of NFL Bettors Get Screwed In Final Minute
The Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey has been the best kicker bar none since he entered the league, and he has been exceptional at deep kicks over 50 and 60 yards. Aubrey is the closest thing you can get to a sure thing regarding kickers in the NFL, and that is partially what explains why bettors are losing their minds.
With less than a minute left in the game, Aubrey had a 51-yard field goal, which is a chip shot by his standards to take an 8-point lead against the Giants with almost no time left. Specifically, Aubery had never missed a shot from 50-plus yards in his career. He needed to hit that field goal for Dallas to cover a 5.5-point spread which the huge majority of bettors had bet on.
Aubrey’s kick started off looking perfect but it made a quick turn and then went just right, almost as if it was designed to. The first miss by Aubrey in his career from that 50-yard mark lost over 80% of bettors their money.
In the hours since Aubrey missed, all the 80-plus percent of bettors who placed their money on the Cowboys have been losing their minds, with some even claiming that Aubrey got a call from Vegas to purposely miss the kick!

“Brandon Aubrey got the Vegas call,” another user said, suggesting that Las Vegas insiders told him to miss to save them from having to pay the spread.
“This is just screaming Vegas influence,” a third user wrote.
Per Bleacher Report, at least 80% of bets were on the Cowboys to cover the spread, and that miss likely caused millions of losses for fans. Vegas always wins.

To make matters worse for the Cowboys, the team lost both Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs in that matchup, and their schedule is about to get tough.
