NFL: The Miami Dolphins are looking to make noise in 2023. They feel Tua Tagovailoa can be their franchise quarterback. With Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle as their top two wide receivers, their offense is just one piece away from being complete. After missing out on running back Dalvin Cook, who signed with the New York Jets, the Dolphins have emerged as an early favorite to land another star running back.
The Miami Dolphins Emerge As Early Favorites To Land Star Running Back Jonathan Taylor (NFL)
The Dolphins reportedly considering a move for disgruntled running back Jonathan Taylor, with the Indianapolis Colts granting him permission to seek a trade, per ESPN and CBS NFL insider Josina Anderson.
The Colts held a stance on Taylor for several weeks, indicating he was going nowhere. But it’s now understood that they’re looking for a first-round pick in exchange, though they would settle for multiple picks which equate to that:
Per a league source, the Dolphins are expected to at least explore a trade for Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who has been given permission to seek a trade. Not sure where this will lead, but it would make sense in that he’s only 24, 1st team All Pro & NFL rush leader in ’21

As mentioned above, the Dolphins’ offense has a dangerous passing game, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throwing to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins need Tua not to take as many hazardous hits as he did last season. A good running game could keep opposing defenses from being too eager to blitz. Jonathan Taylor would do wonders for blitzing defenses.
