The NFL is learning of some troubling news on Thursday. One of their star players is going through some disturbing legal trouble. He has officially been arrested and is facing a major charge.
NFL Sees Star Player Arrested On Disturbing Charges, Fans Demand Action (Report)
There is a possibility that Jimmie Ward is in search of a new team. On Thursday morning, the Houston Texans safety was arrested for a number of shocking offenses:
Catherine Dominguez and Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reported that Ward is facing a felony assault family violence charge. Dominguez and Alexander add Ward was arrested at around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday at his home in Magnolia, Texas, following an incident.
According to information from the Montgomery County Jail, Ward was arrested on the scene around 5:30 a.m. He is held without bond.
Jimmie Ward, who signed with the Texans in the 2023 offseason, is under contract through 2025.

The 33-year-old safety was instrumental in helping the team turn around from a 3-13-1 record to an 11-8 playoff team last season.
His arrest really hurts since he played under coach DeMeco Ryans in San Francisco and then brought his talents to Houston when he was hired as head coach.
In 2024, Jimmie Ward appeared in 10 games for the Texans and recorded 45 total tackles and two interceptions.
Texans safety Jimmie Ward might be getting cut fairly soon after he was arrested for family violence on Thursday.
Texans senior director of communications Omar Majzoub said the following about Ward’s arrest.
“We are aware of the report involving Jimmie Ward,” Majzoub said. “We are gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”
