Well, it’s that time again to humiliate myself with my weekly NFL forecast.

I absolutely struggled last year with my best bets and I’m looking to rebound this season. However, Thursday’s game got me off on the wrong foot. I took the points with the LA Rams and watched them melt away in the second half vs. Buffalo.

Onto the rest of the games!

(Odds are based on DraftKings lines)

Baltimore at NY Jets (Ravens -6.5, 44 over/under): Lamar Jackson returns after last season ended in injury. Ravens, 27-13

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati (Bengals -6.5, 44): Has the Bengals finally solved the Steelers riddle? Nope. Steelers, 20-17

Indianapolis at Houston (Colts -7, 46): The last time these two teams combined to score more than 46 points in Houston was in 2015. Colts, 27-24

Philadelphia at Detroit (Eagles -5, 48.5): These games tend to be high scoring in Detroit. Lions, 31-30

San Francisco at Chicago (49ers -6.5, 40): This game last year was 16-15 at the end of the third quarter with the Bears winning. Bears, 20-17

Cleveland at Carolina (Panthers -1, 42): The Browns have never won in Charlotte, and it’s Baker’s revenge game. Panthers, 24-14

New Orleans at Atlanta (Saints -5.5, 43): The last time the Saints lost in the Atlanta was in 2017. Saints, 26-18

New England at Miami (Dolphins -3.5, 46): The Dolphins have won 4 of the last 5 meetings in Miami, and Tua has never lost to the Patriots. Dolphins, 27-13

Jacksonville at Washington (Commanders -3, 44): The Commanders have never lost to the Jaguars in Washington, D.C. and have scored 24 or more points in all three games. Commanders, 31-23

NY Giants at Tennessee (Titans -5.5, 44): Since their move to Nashville, the Titans are 6-1 vs. the Giants. Giants, 23-20

aaron rodgers 1Green Bay at Minnesota (Packers -1, 46.5): It has been shootouts the last two times these two have met in Minneapolis. Packers, 34-32

Kansas City at Arizona (Chiefs -6.5, 54): The Cardinals look to break the trend of alternating wins and losses when the Chiefs come to town. Cardinals, 30-27

Las Vegas at LA Chargers (Chargers -3.5, 52.5): In their last four meetings, the Raiders and the Chargers have combined to score at least 42 points in each game. Chargers, 28-23

Tampa Bay at Dallas (Buccaneers -2.5, 50): The last time the Cowboys lost to Tampa in Dallas was in 2001. Cowboys, 23-20

Denver at Seattle (Broncos -6.5, 44): Will the Broncos let Russ cook in his revenge game vs. the Seahawks? Broncos, 31-10

Danny Carpenter has been writing for Gridiron Heroics since August 2022. I have played fantasy football since 1993 when you had to call your commissioner to submit a lineup, the Monday edition of the USAToday was the holy grail for NFL boxscores and NFL Countdown was the place for early stats. I will be writing articles on the Steelers and fantasy football. Any fantasy football questions, just ask!
