NFL Fans have a new conspiracy following a video that appeared of Aaron Rodgers Sunday. Rodgers is currently rehabbing from a torn Achilles injury he suffered against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.
A torn Achilles injury should have meant Rodgers would be out for the rest of the NFL season and postseason. A typical Achilles injury takes 9-12 months to heal from. Given that Rodgers is 39 years old, one would think he’d be closer to the 12-month end of the spectrum.
However, Rodgers underwent an experimental procedure for his Achilles injury, and his subsequent recovery seems ahead of schedule. Rodgers hopes he can return before the end of the season or postseason.
A video showed Rodgers making drop-back moves on his feet during the New York Jets warmups before their game against the New York Giants on Sunday. Some fans think the video proves that Rodgers’ Achilles injury isn’t real.
NFL fans think the league is rigged after Rodgers’ video appears
There’s no reason to think the league or the Jets are rigging the injury. The Jets have several Prime Time games this season that would do better for ratings if Rodgers were playing. The NFL and the Jets have no incentive for Rodgers to miss any games or a chance at the postseason.
