The NFL is the most popular sports league in the United States. However, at the end of the day, it is just a game played for our entertainment. In the backdrop of the minds of football fans, we had a presidential race heating up between former president Donald Trump and current president Joe Biden.

President Joe Biden Drops Out of 2024 Election
Earlier today, President Joe Biden made an announcement regarding his plans for reelection. In a public letter to the American people, he revealed that he is going to “stand down” in the 2024 election for the sake of the Democratic party and the country.
With that said, Biden also revealed that he plans to finish out the remainder of his term. That should be for about another six months. Meanwhile, we will have to wait and see who the Democrat’s nominee will be along with who will go on to win the 2024 election.
NFL and Politics
Elections have had more and more of a presence in sports in recent years. Back during the 2020 election, there was a big “Vote” campaign supported by the NFL itself along with several notable players around the league. It encouraged football fans to go out and vote during the 2020 election. It seemed to work given the major increase in voter turnout in 2020 compared to 2016.
With that in mind, some players and some fans are not shy when it comes to voicing their political opinions. Some of them will likely be thrilled with this news from Joe Biden. Others may be concerned about what is going to happen moving forward.
