The Super Bowl has emerged as a melting point for the United States of America, for many reasons. For some, it’s a celebration of an indigenous sport. For others, the annual apex football match provides a great escape for fun and entertainment.
Whether it’s about NFL fandom or creating memorable moments amidst the annual football rave, Americans are never at a loss for ideas. In one situation, a fan ekes out a lump sum to purchase a billboard at the heart of San Francisco ahead of Super Bowl LX, which will be held on February 8, 2026. The chucklesome signage reads… “Defensive Player of the Year… ICE”

Why ICE’s Getting So Much Attention Among Super Bowl Fans Ahead of Sunday

Various A-list artists, including Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, have slammed ICE for its rather uncompassionate immigration policies. The latest Grammy Song of the Year Award winner, Billie Eilish, called out the immigration body during her acceptance speech at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
Meanwhile, Bad Bunny reportedly excluded the US from its 2025/26 global tour due to fears that immigration officers would attack his fans. Bad Bunny’s vocal political views and cultural persuasions have divided Super Bowl Fans nationwide, and fans are wondering how much worse things could get between ICE and Hollywood’s elite.
Betting houses are sponsoring bets on whether Bad Bunny would say “F*** ICE” during his Sunday presentation, while others are calling to boycott the NFL completely over the rapper’s inclusion on the show.
However, despite criticisms about Bad Bunny’s introduction to the Super Bowl halftime show, the NFL has chosen to insist on its selection. Meanwhile, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he doesn’t expect divisive political statements from Bad Bunny during his performance. The NFL is also not preparing additional security personnel to guard against potential ICE-related incidents.
Yet for many others, the entire situation is a circus that deserves to be laughed at, either via cryptic signboards or plain “lmaooo” comments on X.
