The 2024 NFL season will not feature Colin Kaepernick even after he was offered a job on Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff for the Los Angeles Chargers. It was reported earlier in the week, that Harbaugh had made the offer to his former quarterback, but Kaepernick delusionally still wants to play.
Colin Kaepernick Turns Down Jim Harbaugh’s Coaching Job Offer
The new coach for the Los Angeles Chargers had offered his former player a spot on his staff, as he has always been a vocal supporter of Kaepernick. However, the 36-year-old former quarterback still thinks he can play, and so he turned down the coaching offer in hopes that he can still make a return.
“I love Colin, but he’s not going to be on the coaching staff, which is set for this year. And he’s not going to be playing on the roster either,” Harbaugh said after Thursday’s practice.
Kaepernick was recently interviewed by Sky Sports where he revealed that he wants to make his return to football even at the age of 36:
“We’re still training, still pushing,” Kaepernick said. “So hopefully. We’ve just got to get one of these team owners to open up.”
“We’ve just got to get one of these team owners to open up,” Kaepernick said. “It’s something I’ve trained my whole life for, so to be able to step back on the field, I think that would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. I think I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”

NFL Fans Are Clowning Colin Kaepernick For Turning Down Job
Fans as well as analysts think that Kaepernick is being delusional if he thinks he can ever play again in the NFL. He was offered a coaching job and turned it down, and now fans are taking to social media to call out Kaepernick for pretending to want to be involved in football.
Here are a few fan reactions to the news:
“Kaepernick claims he wants back in football, yet many opportunities have come his way to do just that. However, he routinely doesn’t take advantage. Why? Well, he’s an attention (expletive). All he truly wants is attention,” one fan wrote.
“🙄 he don’t want to coach. He wants to play and unfortunately playing isn’t going to happen for him and it’s not clicking. Dude gonna be 60 still talking about how he still training and waiting lol,” one fan added.
“Called it. This charlatan is on chance 12 or whatever to return. He knows he’s a fraud. Only way to maintain that life is to never let anyone see the truth,” one fan added.
“This is what he’s done for 5 years. Complains nobody gives him an opportunity then turns down every chance he’s gets. Dudes nothing but an attention (expletive) at this point,” one fan added.
Do you think that he should have taken the coaching job, or is it better that it was all avoided altogether?
