The Dallas Cowboys decided to not renew Mike McCarthy’s contract as head coach and let him go on Monday. There were a lot of fans who were not thrilled with this move and there were some fans who were thrilled with this move.
Owner Jerry Jones is looking for a new head coach for the Dallas Cowboys. One potential name to watch for in the Cowboys opening is Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders.
Reports Of Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Talking To Deion Sanders About the Coaching Opening
On Monday night, some dialogue started to take place between the Dallas Cowboys and Deion Sanders. Adam Schefter said on Twitter:
“Deion Sanders and Jerry Jones have spoken about the Cowboys’ head coaching job, as
reported. Their talks will continue.”
This will be interesting if the Cowboys hire Sanders as the next head coach. Some other candidates could also include Jon Gruden and Pete Carroll.

There is no doubt that if Sanders is the next head coach of the Cowboys, there will be a lot of fans calling for Jerry Jones to sell the team. There will also be rumors of quarterback Dak Prescott being traded to another NFL team next year. Lastly, Dallas could do something ridiculous and try and draft Shedeur Sanders from the Colorado Buffaloes.
