We are back for another stock check. We are nearing the end of the season and players stock is starting to solidify. Read below to check out whos stock has gone up recently and whos has gone down.
Stock Up
Jahdae Barron-Texas: Barron who played mostly out of the slot last season was surprisingly moved this season to be one of the starting outside corners for Texas. He has thrived there and put up big time production this season. Just this past week he had a sack, interception and a tackle for a loss. On the season though he had four interceptions and five pass breakups. He has proved he can play outside corner as well as the slot and safety. This definitely moves up his stock.
Tyler Warren-Penn State: Warren has really came on since the USC game where he had 17 catches for 224 yards. He had even had two games where he was Penn States leading rusher. Warren is a freak athlete. He can play wildcat quarterback, he can carry the ball and of course he can play tight end. What is crazy is he is doing all this at 6’6 260 and he’s not just running over people, he is also running past them. Warren’s stock has gone up enough where he could end up as the first tight end selected.
Marlow Wax-Syracuse: Wax is a player that most casual fans don’t know, but he has been a good player for Syracuse since 2022, its just that Syracuse was pretty terrible those years. Wax also missed the first five games of the season, so that heard him on getting more name recognition. Since he has returned he has been on fire. Wax has been all over the field putting up 28 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a 21 yard interception return. This is all in just five games played. With it being not a very strong class at the top, Wax could shoot towards the top of the class.
Omarion Hampton-North Carolina: Omarion Hampton has just been doing Omarion Hampton things. His numbers have been similar to last year already, but what has helped is he has shown improvement as a receiver and even as a pass blocker he has shown some improvements. His game this past weekend though was one to talk about. He had 35 carries for 244 yards and one touchdown. Also the previous week he had four rushing touchdowns. With Ollie Gordon’s struggles this season Hampton could end up being RB2.
Brashard Smith-SMU: Brashard Smith kind of came out of nowhere this season. He was a wide receiver transfer from Miami that was reported to be moving to running back. Most probably saw this as making him more of a gadget type player. He even had 178 rushing yards in the first two weeks of the season, but it was against Nevada and Houston Christian so it again got brushed off. He continued to put up numbers against good teams.
This past weekend he just had 18 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown against a good defense in Boston College. He has shown to be explosive, fast, and runs with more power than you think 196 pound back could. He has already broken 1,000 yards this season and double digit touchdowns. He has worked himself from a UDFA to a likely early day three pick and may even sneak into late day two if he works out well.
Stock Down
Luther Burden-Missouri: After having a big 1,200 yard season in 2023, big things were expected out of Burden. He was seen as probably WR1 for the class during the summer. He came in and was expected to see more time as an outside receiver. So far he has still seen most of his snaps in the slot, but as the Missouri offense has struggled this season so has he. His route running doesn’t look improved. He has just 53 catches on the year for 574 yards and five touchdowns. He has gone from a potential WR1 to late day two? early day three? Its possible he returns to school or transfers.
Miller Moss-USC: This past weekend signaled the end of Miller Moss’ time at USC. He was replaced as the starting quarterback for Jayden Maiava and he played well. Moss’ play has been hot and cold this season. It all seemed to culminate in the loss to Washington where he threw three picks. He was looked at as a possible declare candidate in the summer and someone that could go on day two, now it looks like he would go day three if he declared. Moss likely returns for his senior year and transfers somewhere else.
Trevor Etienne-Georgia: Etienne was thought to be a big transfer for Georgia in settling their back field and giving them a legit #1 guy. Some of the same issues he had at Florida have plagued him at Georgia, namely injuries and inconsistency. He has missed two games this season and has seen limited carries (less than eight) in at least three games. He hasn’t even had a 100 yard game this season. In the summer it was thought he would be one of the top five-ish running backs in the class, but he’s fallen back enough he likely returns to school.
Elic Ayomanor-Stanford: Ayomanor was a popular sleeper for the 2025 class in the summer. He put up just over 1,000 yards on a bad Stanford offense. He even averaged an impressive 16.3 yards a catch, but his production was mostly based off three games where he had at least 122 yards, he also had two games with 89 and 90 yards respectively. The rest were under 60. The issue with this season is he has had just two games over 100 yards and they were barely over at 102 and 106. There were six games where he was under 70 yards.
So, with all that being said Ayomanor is a big 6’2 210 pound receiver that has some impressive physical tools, but he has yet to refine them yet. He still has a lot more growth to go. He is also just a redshirt Sophomore. Expect him to return for his junior year and more than likely transfer somewhere with a decent quarterback and better offensive system that can highlight him.
