Dante Moore has led Oregon to a magnificent 12-1 season this year, including a 8-1 record in Big Ten. The signal-caller has just 18 career starts across three college seasons, but he is widely viewed as a potential first-round selection.

ESPN analyst Louis Riddick is one of many to have high trust in Moore’s NFL outlook.
“If @oregonfootball QB Dante Moore enters the ‘26 draft, teams are going to LOVE him in the pre-draft process. His command as a leader is second to none. His football IQ and emotional intelligence at an elite level. Beloved by his teammates. Could not have been more impressed by the person when talking with him this past week. And he is still just 20 years old,” Reddick tweeted.

Moore is now focusing on Oregon’s Orange Bowl game against Texas Tech on Jan. 1. However, gossip surrounding his NFL outlook continues to hit the headlines.
On ‘Get Up’ on Friday morning, Field Yates stated Moore has the chance to play his way into being the top quarterback off the board, if not the top overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
“There’s at least a chance that Dante Moore could find his way into the number one overall pick conversation,” Yates said. “Over the three and a half or four months after the College Football Playoff is over, we start to overthink these things, and sometimes we do just gravitate towards who has the higher upside, who could be the guy that can take your franchise from the doldrums of the league to potentially the playoffs.”
Moore has recorded 72.5% completion for 227.8 passing yards per game. He has thrown for more than 3,000 yards with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Browns Zero In on Dante Moore as Potential Franchise Future
Moore helped Oregon explode offensively in a first-round College Football Playoff win over James Madison, 51-34. While Moore has yet to publicly address his NFL plans, Cleveland.com columnist Terry Pluto reported that the Cleveland Browns are closely monitoring the young quarterback’s development.
“Like all the NFL teams looking for a QB, the Browns have paid special attention to Oregon’s Dante Moore,” Pluto said. “He was born in East Cleveland and lived in Elyria for a while. He then moved to Detroit, where he was a star at Martin Luther King High.
“He started his college career at UCLA. After a season, he transferred to Oregon for 2024 – where he backed up Dillon Gabriel. He is a projected first-round pick. He has only 18 college starts so far in his three-year career.”

With mock drafts frequently connecting Moore to Cleveland due to his Ohio roots, the Browns’ interest suggests they may be planning beyond their current quarterback situation.
