Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker is going to hear his name called in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and could wind up being one of the first defenders chosen.
One of the most dominant prospects at his position, Walker produced a career-high 61 total tackles with 6.5 sacks last season as one of the centerpieces of a loaded Georgia Bulldogs

One NFL evaluator suggests Walker could be one of the first linebackers chosen.
“Flashes his pass rush skills consistently,” the executive told me recently. “[He] has loads of versatility, and elite athleticism that shines through. We have a high first-round grade on him.”
Walker has drawn interest from several teams who have hosted him for pre-draft visits, and watching him on film it’s easy to see why.
“He’s still working to fine-tune his instincts and efficiency as an off-ball linebacker,” NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein writes of Walker. “But has the take-on and closing burst to become a productive pro at that spot. He’s tough but small as an early down edge rusher, but his athletic talent and suddenness to attack both edges makes him a menace for tackles.”
