Just like most other basketball fans on Wednesday, former Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant was captivated by the showdown at Madison Square Garden between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks.
In Game 1 of that series, the Pacers overcame a 14-point deficit late in the fourth quarter, forcing overtime with a wild jumper from Indiana point guard Tyrese Haliburton.
After the Pacers completed the comeback via a 138-135 win over New York, Bryant posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he doesn’t think that the Knicks would win a game at home before the series goes to Indiana.
Bryant also later tweeted more about his admiration for the Pacers and how Indiana handled business versus the Knicks.
“Pacers turning into some bullies,” Bryant said about Indiana. “They can give two [expletive] about the Knicks..they’re not afraid of them. Coach Carlisle said TH has earned the right to do whatever he wants after tying the game up and stealing the game in the Garden. Imagine the confidence TH and his team feel whenever their Head Coach speaking like that, the Pacers are playing wonderful team ball.
Will Dez Bryant’s prediction stand?

It remains to be seen whether Dez Bryant’s prediction will hold. The Knicks can prove him wrong with a win this coming Friday for Game 2 of the series.
Now 36 years old, Bryant seems to have plenty of time on his hands to enjoy watching other sports or leagues like the NBA, as he’s not played football in the NFL since he suited up for six games with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020.
The three-year Pro Bowler is mostly known for his eight-year stint with the Cowboys as a chief target of Tony Romo and a young Dak Prescott.
