The Denver Broncos have had a rough start to the season. Dating back to last year, disappointment has been common amongst the fan base. While the team has one of the best home-field advantages in the league, to say they have struggled on the road is an understatement. On Sunday against the Dolphins, the Denver Broncos will look to snap a terrible road losing streak.
Denver Broncos Road Losing Streak
If you look at the NFL schedule, the last time the Broncos officially won on the road was against the Jaguars in 2022. However, that game is more like a neutral site game as it was played in London. The Jaguars weren’t truly playing a home game. They haven’t won a road game in the States since November 7, 2021, which was against the Dallas Cowboys. This is not a recipe for winning football. While it is normal to be less effective on the road, being completely inept on the road is not a way to have a lot of winning seasons.
Can Denver Recover?
Denver is off to a 0-2 start which the stats say is almost a death sentence for the playoffs. Last week was especially embarrassing as they blew a huge lead to Sam Howell and the Washington Commanders. The Russell Wilson trade continues to look like one of the worst in NFL history and the defense seems to have lost some of its edge. Sean Payton has his work cut out for him to right the ship.
The Denver Broncos need to snap this awful road losing streak at some point. Unfortunately, this week is against the Miami Dolphins who boast one of the best passing attacks in the league.
