The NFL is seeing some of their own speak out about the controversial issue of Transgender Women competing in Women’s sports.  The issue was brought up initially by the Donald Trump administration as soon as he took office.  Their goal was simple: to never let it happen again.

Now they have the backing of one of the greatest linebackers to ever play the game.

Transgender athletes competing in women’s sports have captured Brian Urlacher’s unfiltered thoughts:

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed an executive order titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.” The goal of this order is to “uphold the promise of Title IX,” according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The Trump administration has said that someone’s “sex” assigned at birth is their gender. Clearly, this executive order is aimed at transgender athletes.

While on the “Global View” podcast, Urlacher made it clear that he supports Trump’s executive order.

“Why is it even a debate? A woman is a woman and a man is a man… you’re born with what you’re born with,” Urlacher said, via Fox News Digital.

The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year then mentioned that a transgender pitcher in Minnesota has dominated the competition on the softball field.

“It’s just different because we are men, there are certain things we do better than women, and it’s just, number one, it’s not fair, and if I had a daughter who had to be forced to play against a man I would not be okay with it and I would raise hell about it,” Urlacher said. “I just don’t get it, it’s a common sense thing, I just don’t see how you can push this and make someone thing they’re a different sex.”

There was recently a controversy in Illinois involving a transgender student’s victory at a middle school track meet.

Parents showed up to a Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board meeting on Monday with signs that read “Protect Girls Sports” and “Stop Exploiting Kids.”

If we had to guess, Urlacher sides with those parents.

Urlacher, an eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. He finished his prolific career with 1,361 tackles, 90 pass deflections, 41.5 sacks, 22 interceptions and 11 forced fumbles.
