Steelers (+7) at Ravens
Recent history has taught us that every game in this rivalry is poised to be a close, hard-fought contest. The Steelers enter this game having won 8 of their last 9 games against the Ravens, including four straight wins in Baltimore.
The Ravens’ poor pass defense will provide opportunities for Pittsburgh’s struggling offense to gain some momentum. Lamar Jackson has also continually struggled when facing the Steelers’ defense. Jackson had his worst game of the season when the two teams played just over a month ago, completing less than 50 percent of his passes and having a passer rating of just 66.1. Baltimore’s superior offense edges out a slight victory.
Ravens win 26-23
Eagles (-3.5) at Commanders
The Eagles are currently the hottest team in the NFL, having won 10 consecutive games. They have the NFL’s best defense—one that currently leads the league in both scoring defense and total defense. Detroit’s loss to Buffalo has opened the door for Philadelphia to have a legitimate shot at getting the number one seed in the NFC, and they won’t want to squander that opportunity with a loss this week.
Meanwhile, Washington almost blew last week’s game against the injury-riddled Saints. The Commanders have not beaten a single team with a winning record all season long. Philly wins and covers the spread.
Eagles win 30-24
Rams (-3) at Jets
The Jets have won just one game all season against a team that currently has more than 3 wins. While we did see a vintage performance from Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams last weekend, it was against the Jaguars’ defense which currently ranks dead last in yards allowed.
The Rams come into this game off extra rest having played on Thursday night in Week 15. L.A. has won 7 of their last 9 games with wins against the Bills and Vikings in that span. They have something to play for while the Jets are just waiting for the season to end.
Rams win 27-20
Vikings (-3) at Seahawks
Minnesota has won seven straight games dating back to October 24th. They rank in the top 10 in scoring offense and scoring defense. The Vikings also lead the NFL in interceptions with 20, while Geno Smith has thrown the 3rd-most interceptions of any QB in the league this season (13).
Throughout the season, Seattle has been routinely outmatched when going against tougher competition. The Seahawks are 1-4 versus teams with a winning record with their only win coming against the Broncos in Bo Nix’s first career start. Minnesota is the better team.
Vikings win 30-23
Patriots at Bills (-14)
The Bills are 8-0 this season in games against teams that are .500 or worse, with an average margin of victory of over 16 points in those games. They are also undefeated at home (6-0).
New England hasn’t won a game in over a month and they have failed to beat a team with a winning record throughout the entire season. The Patriots have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, ranking 31st in points per game (17.0), 30th in yards per game (292.5), 28th in yards per play (5.09), and 30th in 1st downs per game (17.4). They won’t be able to keep up with Buffalo’s firepower.
Bills win 34-13
