The Cleveland Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-14 on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Cleveland dropped to 3-10 on the season and there is a very good chance they get a top 5 to top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski has won Coach of the Year twice with the Browns. He has had to deal with quarterback dilemmas over the past couple of seasons. Having to deal with Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Joe Flacco, and other quarterbacks has not been easy for him.
Bleacher Report Scouting Department Thinks That the Cleveland Browns Need To Keep Kevin Stefanski Despite Poor Season

After Sunday’s games. the Bleacher Report Scouting Department talked about each NFL’s team performance after they played. Despite the Browns losing again this weekend, they think it would be foolish to replace Kevin Stefanski in the offseason.
There are a lot of Cleveland fans who want him fired as head coach, but they disagree with the fans. Bleacher Report said:
“The Browns head into the offseason with a handful of obvious needs.
Cleveland needs a long-term answer at quarterback because Deshaun Watson has done nothing in three years to suggest that he’s the answer—and Winston is likely a bridge at best. Given Hopkins’ struggles this season, the Browns should be in the kicker market.
After Kadarius Toney’s muffed punt ended Cleveland’s chances Sunday, a new returner should be on the menu too.
The Browns should not, however, be in the market for a new head coach in 2025. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported last month that the reigning Coach of the Year was indeed safe.
“Kevin Stefanski, to my knowledge, based on everything I know, is not going anywhere,” Rapoport said on The Insiders (h/t NFL.com’s Eric Edholm).
Of course, three-win teams in December usually do have coaches on the hot seat. The X-factor here is the possibility that franchise owner Jimmy Haslam still wants to make things work with Watson—and in the weeks since Watson’s season-ending Achilles injury, it’s become evident that Stefanski’s offense works much better without him.
However, replacing the head coach—or giving Watson another opportunity, for that matter—would be a monumental mistake. The Browns continue to fight amid a lost season. We saw that during Monday night’s track meet with the Denver Broncos, and we saw it again against Pittsburgh, even if the final score might indicate a one-sided game.”
It would be interesting to see who the Cleveland Browns would draft if they didn’t draft a quarterback. They could very well draft a wide receiver in the first round because they don’t have enough depth at the position. They have talent on both sides of the ball.
Would Cleveland make a surprising move and draft a quarterback in the first round if Sanders and Ward are both off the board? It remains to be seen if they reach on a player like Drew Allar from Penn State or Carson Beck from Georgia. No matter what they do, Kevin Stefanski needs to be the Browns’ head coach in 2025.
Potential Offensive Coordinator If Fired

If the Browns were silly enough to fire Kevin Stefanski, there is no doubt that other NFL teams would be lining up for him. He would most likely be an offensive coordinator elsewhere, but there is also a chance that Stefanski could interview with other NFL teams for a head coaching job elsewhere.
Kevin Stefanski would be the hottest name on the market outside of guys like Bill Belichick, Mike Vrabel, and Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. The Cleveland Browns had other problems this season that were not related to Stefanski’s coaching.
