NFL Analyst Bucky Brooks Has Favorable Prediction for Dallas Cowboys in 2022

The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2021 season 12-5 and finished first in the NFC East. Unfortunately, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round. That finish was, to say the very least, disappointing for the Cowboys and their fans. As the team prepares for the 2022 season, one NFL analyst, Bucky Brooks, believes that the Cowboys are one of the top contenders to go to the Super Bowl in the NFC.

Bucky Brooks Appears on “The Herd” to Talk about the Dallas Cowboys

During an appearance on “The Herd,” Bucky Brooks had this to say about the Dallas Cowboys: “Right now, I think it’s reasonable to say the Dallas Cowboys should be one of the two or three favorites in the NFC to go to the [Super Bowl].”

Why Should the Dallas Cowboys Be Favored to Go to the Super Bowl?

In short, at least on offense, the Dallas Cowboys will be a juggernaut in the NFC thanks to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Last season, Prescott threw for 4,445 yards and 37 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions. He had his best passer rating since his rookie year (104.6) with an astonished 104.2. His dominant play earned him a second-place finish in the AP Comeback Player of the Year voting.

Of Prescott, Brooks said, “When Dak Prescott plays, and he plays against the NFC East, he dominates. [He] has had a full offseason to practice and work on skill development instead of rehab, so I feel better about what we’re going to see from him.”

Last season, CeeDee Lamb was used as the Cowboys’ second wide receiver behind Amari Cooper. As Prescott’s second option, Lamb had 79 receptions for 1,102 yards and six touchdowns.

Now, Cooper is gone and Lamb is the team’s new wide receiver one. Of Lamb, Brooks said, “CeeDee Lamb jumps into the number one role. This might be a little addition by subtraction. You get a more dynamic and explosive player at the number one spot.”

    Conclusion

The Dallas Cowboys should certainly be the favorites to win the woeful NFC East. However, if what Brooks is seeing and predicting comes to pass, they should be favorites to win so much more.
