Neyland Stadium and the Tennessee Volunteers open up the season against the Ball State Cardinals on Thursday, September 1st. The SEC network primetime game is set for 7:00 PM EST.
All eyes turn to starting quarterback Hendon Hooker. The senior is being watched closely as he hopes to put up another attention grabbing season. Hooker threw for over 2,900 yards, and 31 touchdowns. With the help of trusty #1 receiver, Cedric Tillman, the Vols are certainly looking to go on a run this year. Tillman had a record breaking season last year, receiving for over 1,000 yards, and 12 touchdowns. The duo works better than anyone else in College Football, and it truly is a thing of beauty to watch at Neyland Stadium. Another dynamic wide receiver to watch out for this season is #0, Grant Frerking.
Ball State is coming off an average season last year. Finishing fourth in the MAC West, and below .500. Vegas clearly sees no match for the Cardinals, as the line has opened up at -31.5 for the Vols. Time will only tell if these blood thirsty Volunteers have it in them to put up a cinderella story type year. Neyland will be rocking, and expect good ol’ rocky top to have no problem thumping the cardinals in their home opener under the lights.
Recently, coach Josh Heupel and the Volunteers have put out a video that has shaken the internet.

This hype video certainly has many College Football fans around the world feeling nervous. Neyland Stadium is coming off of an offseason of renovations, and many new improvements. The hype surrounding this season is rightfully justified. The city of Knoxville is desperately awaiting for the start of the season, and so is the rest of the college football world. When September 1st comes, and 100,000 fans come swarming the city of Knoxville, the only question that coms to mind is: Can anyone beat Tennessee this year?
