The New York Jets have one of the most well-known players in the NFL as their quarterback. It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers has been in the NFL for a long time. However, even some star players such as Quinnen Williams did not realize just how long Rodgers has been in the league.
Quinnen Williams Shocked Aaron Rodgers Is Entering 20th NFL Season

Earlier today, New York Jets DT Quinnen Williams was asked about QB Aaron Rodgers. During this discussion, one reporter made Williams aware that Rodgers was about to enter his 20th NFL season. To say Williams was shocked about how long Rodgers has been in the league is an understatement:
“Aaron (Rodgers) 20 years in the NFL? Ain’t our running back 20 years old? So he has been in the NFL longer than he’s been alive? That’s crazy.” -Quinnen Williams
In that quote, Williams is referring to Jets rookie RB Braelon Allen. He was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and came out of Wisconsin. Allen just turned 20 in January.
Looking Back at Aaron Rodgers’ Career

So, what has Rodgers done in 19 years? Well, his first 18 years were spent with the Green Bay Packers. He took over for legendary QB Brett Favre before Jordan Love did the same to Rodgers about 15 years later.
In 19 years, Rodgers has thrown over 59,000 passing yards and 475 touchdown passes. His most memorable moment is arguably helping the Green Bay Packers secure Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers. If that was not enough, the Packers won that Super Bowl as a sixth seed.
However, many people feel like Rodgers should have more than one Super Bowl by now. The year after capturing Super Bowl XLV, the Packers got knocked out of the playoffs in their first game despite having a 15-1 regular season record. Plus, Rodgers lost four NFC Championship games with the Packers.
New York Jets Moving Forward

Rodgers and the Jets are hoping that his 20th NFL season will be a memorable one. His Jets tenure did not get off to a good start considering his first season in New York ended after just four snaps in 2023. That led to the Jets having a tumultuous season that they would like to put behind them.
Yet, Rodgers is not deterred from this. He has already predicted that the New York Jets will be “must-watch TV” in 2024.
