Aaron Rodgers is facing the most challenging moment in his career lately. It’s no new story that the york Jets quarterback has been affected by several injuries in the 2024 season, resulting in the Jets’ underperformance, including the team’s defeat to the Broncos in week 4.
Recently, news of Rodgers’s release from the team or benching has been making waves. Jets Owner Woody Johnson suggested benching Rodgers. According to sources, Woody sees Rodgers incapable of leading the Jets to a successful run this season.
And the whole situation looks more like the Jets won’t want Rodgers back next year.
Aaron Rodgers Refusing To Get Medical Scan
A narrative of another piece of news from Ian Rapoport, NFL media, suggests that Rodgers is not struggling because he has lost his high-end skills, but the quarterback is more injured than anyone can notice. And Rodgers refused medical scans to determine the severity of his injury.
“As for Rodgers, he’s been banged up this season, fighting hamstring, knee, and ankle injuries while being off and on the injury report,” Rapoport writes. “How injured is he? It’s unclear. . . . One source explained that Rodgers has resisted getting scans done, not wanting to reveal the severity of his injuries out of fear of having to come off the field. He has insisted that he keep playing.”

Aaron Rodgers suffered a hamstring injury in week 4 against the Broncos that was believed to be a significant one, however Rodgers was not listed on the week 5 injured list but eventually, his hamstring injury was disclosed prior to week 8.
This sneak peek situation is creating the impression that Rodgers still has it intact. But the recent development is stating the opposite.
Now we wait till Tuesday to get the clarity from McAfee and Hawk and Wednesday with the New York Media. The Big Question is, will Rodgers downplay the situation? or will he part ways with the Jets the way he did in July 2021 with the green bay packers?
And will Aaron Rodgers attract a new team next year? or is this the end of the road for Rodgers?.

Prior to this recent update, The Athletics Zack Rosenblatt and Diana Russini reported Tuesday that Johnson suggested benching Rodgers for Tyrod Taylor following the teams loss to Denver Broncos in week 4.
According to Russini, and Rosenblatt Johnson have lost his confidence in Rodgers and sees the Quarterback incapable of holding the “team back”. and in-order to restore the Jets back to it’s glory, his opting for Rodgers replacement.
However, general manager Joe Douglas and the coaching staff intervened, talking Johnson out of the potential move. As per sources, benching Rodgers is not the best move and would “embarras him”.
After losing to Denver, Woody Johnson suggested in a contentious meeting that they bench Rodgers because he felt the QB wasn’t playing well.
The coaches pushed back and asked each other if he was serious.

Aaron Rodgers the future hall of famer wouldn’t have foreseen a struggling career this 2024 season. Rodgers is one of the best Quarterback in league history. He ranked third in the league in yards per game last season.
For Rodgers, the New York Jets have gotten the best piece of Rodgers, and if cleared to play well in the remaining 4 games of the 2024 season, there might be loads of potential teams waiting for his release from the Jets.
