The New York Jets and QB Aaron Rodgers do not seem to have the best of luck with their fourth snap of the season. Last year, it had devastating consequences, ending Rodgers’ season. This year, it was not much better. Read below to find out what happened.
New York Jets Fumble on Aaron Rodgers’ Fourth Snap
During the fourth snap of Rodgers’ 2024 season, he attempted a simple flick pass to RB Breece Hall. While the pass was completed, it had devastating results. That is because 49ers LB Fred Warner was able to strip Hall of the football. As a result, San Francisco ended up recovering the football and scored a field goal off of that turnover to take a 3-0 lead.
Bad Luck on Fourth Snaps
While the above result was not ideal for Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets, the silver lining is that Rodgers walked off the field still healthy. That was something that could not be said after the fourth snap of the 2023 season. At that time, he tore his Achilles, which abruptly ended his 2023 campaign. The Jets ended up having a disappointing 7-10 record last year.
Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets Respond
Rodgers and the Jets did not go down quietly after that turnover. Once the 49ers took a 3-0 lead, the Jets responded immediately on their next drive.
New York ended up driving 75 yards down the field for a touchdown. This included 61 passing yards from Rodgers, with the drive capped off by Hall getting redemption with a 3-yard rushing touchdown. We will have to see which New York Jets team shows up the rest of the way.
