The New York Jets are 2-4 and have a plethora of issues on their roster, but they are hopeful that a midseason trade that has reunited Aaron Rodgers with three-time All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams will fix it all. There is no doubt that Adams automatically becomes the Jets’ best pass catcher, but having him on the roster cannot fix the offensive line issues, nor can it slow down Father Time’s effect on Rodgers.
It seems as if the acquisition of Adams has had another side effect on the Jets’ roster: the unhappiness of wide receiver Mike Williams.
Of course, Williams may not have been happy with the team even before they acquired Adams, given that Rodgers blamed him for his game-sealing interception against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night.
It Appears that the New York Jets Are Making Mike Williams Available Via Trade
Following the game against Buffalo, a loss that dropped New York to 2-4 on the season, Rodgers blamed Williams for running the wrong route. The problem, though, is that it looks like Williams was exactly where he was supposed to be and Rodgers just underthrew him:
Aaron Rodgers gas-lighting people with access to the All-22 is hilarious.

As one can see from the video, Rodgers threw the ball to where Williams was supposed to be, or least, he tried to throw it to where he was. It is clear that the throw did not have enough arm to be completed.
As mentioned, Rodgers refused to take responsibility for the interception. For his part, Williams did not practice on Wednesday for what the team called “personal reasons.” He showed up to the Jets’ facility today, but did not participate in any drills.
3 NFL Teams Have Asked the New York Jets About Mike Williams
Even before Adams arrived in New York, Williams had only been targeted 17 times all season. He has 10 receptions for 145 yards while playing 53% of the offensive snaps.
With Adams joining the team, his opportunities will only decline. He knows this, the team knows this, and the rest of the NFL knows this.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, three teams have already contacted the Jets regarding a possible trade for Williams:

As one can see, the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New Orleans Saints are the three teams that have asked about the disgruntled wide receiver.
Los Angeles allowed Williams to go in free agency after he spent the first seven seasons of his career with them.
Pittsburgh has missed out on several big-name wide receivers on the trade market despite their best efforts to get one.
New Orleans had been rumored to be in on Adams, but Derek Carr’s injury may have derailed those talks. They still are looking for a better weapon in the passing game.
