The New York Jets snapped a five-game losing streak by defeating the Houston Texans by the score of 21-13 on Thursday Night. After a sluggish first half that had many Jets fans calling for star quarterback Aaron Rodgers to be benched, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer threw three second half touchdown passes and led his team to victory.

Two of these touchdown passes were thrown to Garrett Wilson, whose second score might be the best play in the NFL this season:

This catch instantly garnered comparisons to the famous Odell Beckham Jr. one-handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys almost a decade ago. More importantly, it gave New York a 14-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. The Jets would not relinquish this lead and won their first game under interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich.

When addressing the media on Friday, Coach Ubrich was asked about the incredible catch that gave his team the lead. In response, he said, “Oh, my goodness. One of the historic plays in all of football and to see that live is so special.”
Many current and former NFL players weighed in on the catch when it happened, including a player that many have thought would have been signed by the Jets a while ago:
