The New York Jets earlier this week fired Robert Saleh as head coach and named Jeff Ulbrich as the interim head coach. The Jets are 2-3 to start the season and if they were to win against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, they would be in first place in the AFC East.
One of the coaches who is out on the market right now is Mike Vrabel. He is currently on the Cleveland Browns coaching staff and was a head coach for the Tennessee Titans for a few seasons in the NFL.
Colin Cowherd Mentions That the New York Jets Should Go After Mike Vrabel As Head Coach
Likely, Jeff Ulbrich is not going to work out as head coach for the Jets. With that potentially being the case, some of the names they could go after this offseason are Bobby Slowik, Ben Johnson, and Mike Vrabel. Colin Cowherd of The Herd on FS1 mentioned on Wednesday that the New York Jets should hire Mike Vrabel as their next head coach. Cowherd said:
“You need a grown man, you need an alpha… Go get a former player who’s not going to be pushed around by Aaron.”
There are many people who blame Aaron Rodgers for getting Saleh fired earlier this week. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out for the Jets.

Seen a few people saying this.. Vrabel makes a lot of sense but Rodger’s ego might not be able to handle Vrabel’s energy..
Would allow Rodger’s to be a game manager and give him a shot to win again..

Don’t listen to you at all

Just stop covering the Jets, please. Everything comes across as weirdly aggrieved and obsessed.

Vrabel wont want any part of that circus organization. Titans may be poorly run but they’re not a drama filled mess. If Zac Taylor gets canned, Vrabel might like that situation better

There is no doubt that Mike Vrabel could be a head coach again in the NFL one of these days. It would be a massive mistake for the Jets if they didn’t get him after the season ends. There could be more drama before this season.
