The New York Jets 2024 season has not gone as planned. They are 2-6 this season after they lost to the New England Patriots on the road 25-22 on Sunday afternoon.
A lot of people expected the Jets to be good this season, but they are headed towards missing the playoffs once again this season. To make matters worse for New York, they will host the Houston Texans (6-2) on Thursday night football.
New York Jets Will Be Wearing All-Black Jerseys Against the Houston Texans
On Tuesday, the New York Jets Twitter page posted that the team will be wearing all-black jerseys against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. This is very interesting that they would be wearing these jerseys on a short week in a prime-time game where everyone is watching.
Aaron Rodgers has not played well this season for the Jets. C.J. Stroud has performed a lot better for the Texans at the quarterback position. When the jerseys were announced, there were a lot of funny reactions on social media.

Looks like the Jets are making peace with the darkness

They were better off staying with Zach Wilson and signing a veteran QB while staying far away from Aaron Rodgers. That trade has set back this organization for years and they still have another year on that contract.

Is there a legacy of jets in black jerseys?
— Cool Super Vids (@CoolSupervids) October 30, 2024
There were a lot of black jerseys jokes with the New York Jets fanbase about the 2024 NFL season. There is a very good chance they lose to the Houston Texans and drop to 2-7 on the season. It appeared as if firing Robert Saleh didn’t solve the problem and it all starts with owner Woody Johnson and also quarterback Aaron Rodgers as well.
