The New York Jets are 3-7 this season. There are a lot of people who are wondering whether or not Aaron Rodgers will return as the starting quarterback in 2025. If Rodgers were to retire, it would be interesting to see who be the starting quarterback for them.
One potential player who could be released this offseason is New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. The Giants could very well be benching him after the bye week in favor of Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito.
WFAN’s Brandon Tierney Thinks That the New York Jets Should Sign Daniel Jones For the 2025 Season
On Thursday, Brandon Tierney of WFAN went onto his show to talk about the future of the Jets. He would move off of Aaron Rodgers at the end of the season. Tierney said:
“I know that sounds insane, but Daniel Jones is not drafted by the Jets and not making big money from the jets because that’s the Giants problem. At least I know he comes in, let him take some hits, let him hold the bag for the kid, and go from there. That’s actually my plan.”
Signing Daniel Jones for one season and drafting a quarterback to develop and sit on the bench may not be a bad idea. However, the Jets would no question be laughed at if they moved off of Rodgers for Jones knowing how bad of a starting quarterback Daniel Jones is.

The way I see it, For the Gints, Dabol will be FIRED either at 2-15 or 3-14, Jones will be OUT as QB as for the Jerks, Rodgers will be GONE and Joe Douglas will be FIRED! ENOUGH SAID!

It is interesting that a New York Jets fan just mentioned the name Jordan Travis. They also have Tyrod Taylor on the roster. Travis couldn’t be any worse than Daniel Jones has been this season for the New York Giants. If the Jets listen to Brandon Tierney’s plan for the 2025 NFL season, they will miss the playoffs once again.
