The New York Jets are 2-5 this season and will be facing the 1-6 New England Patriots on the road. The Jets have not made the playoffs since the 2010 season when they made it to the AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ever since then, New York has been one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the NFL. There has been a lot of criticism about Jets owner Woody Johnson over the years.
New York Jets Fans Call For Owner Woody Johnson To Sell the Team After Latest Twitter Post
On Wednesday, owner Woody Johnson posted on his Twitter page a picture of the upcoming matchup between the Jets and the Patriots on the road this weekend. Here is how the fanbase responded to him on Twitter:
If you guys lose this sell the team it’s over. This will be the lowest point in 20 years.

Sell the team or hire a GM and don’t meddle in his business. You’ve single handidly ruined the last 15 years of this team.

Looking forward to this match up!
*Woody PLEASE sell the team! 🤡*

Since you say “thinking is overrated” and you make decisions based on Jets Twitter, please do us all a favor and SELL THE TEAM
— Trick Mittens (@TrickMittens) October 23, 2024
Imagine how upset the New York Jets fanbase is going to be if they were to lose to the New England Patriots this weekend. The Jets already beat the Patriots earlier this season.
Some Think Aaron Rodgers Runs the Show
Some out there believe that quarterback Aaron Rodgers is running the show and Johnson is caving to him. Some thought that Rodgers was the reason why head coach Robert Saleh was fired and also the reason why they traded for wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Assuming the New York Jets miss the playoffs once again this season, there will be more criticism for owner Woody Johnson. This will continue to be a mess unless things change at the top.
