Davante Adams, the newly acquired wide receiver for the New York Jets, has answered the questions as to why the Jets, once filled with optimism and Super Bowl aspirations, have taken a significant nosedive,
Adams was obtained by the Jets from the Raiders mid-season, through which he was reunited with Aaron Rodgers after a successful run together in Green Bay, during which they combined for a stunning 7,529 yards and 68 touchdowns in the course of eight seasons.
People were thinking it was going to be a sweet reunion in NYA the results, however, have been far below expectations. Having started the season at 2–4, Adams was traded in by the Jets to spur the offense. In his first game with the team, though, the Pittsburgh Steelers pummeled the team 37-15.
The Jets are now down to 1-6 in this period, bringing their season record to a dismal 3-10. Adams insists, however, that he has no regrets about leaving Las Vegas for New York, calling the transfer “the right move.”
“It’s just like you’re going to war: Davante Adams Explains Jets’ Struggles with Bizarre Analogy.

“It’s just like you’re going to a war … but you got a knife, and everybody else got a rifle,” Adams told Kay Adams on the Up & Adams show. “And somebody hands you a rifle … and you go to shoot the rifle, and it jams up. That’s like saying, ‘Oh, I should’ve just kept the knife.’ No, you did the right thing by grabbing the rifle. It just didn’t work the way you intended it to. Sometimes that happens. You gotta live with that and go from there, and that’s where I am.”
Davante Adams’ analogy about the team’s struggles caught the attention of fans and analysts, but in the end, it reflected the gap between expectations and reality. “It’s more like trying to run a marathon with your shoelaces tied together,” Adams said, referring to the offensive inability to find a rhythm or consistency.

The potent chemistry between Rodgers and Adams during their years in Green Bay has failed to materialize in New York. Injuries, poor offensive organization, and defensive lapses have left the New York Jets at the bottom of the AFC East standings.
The doubt isn’t just for the current season but for the whole implication concerning this team. According to the reports, the Jets do not regard him as the long-time solution anymore at quarterback. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport recently said that Rodgers might be just serving as a bridge quarterback, “leaving people to wonder what the future looks like for the New York Jets”.
It also is an offseason of questions for Adams. Asked the question regarding his future with the Jets, the star receiver responded, “I don’t have an answer” as to whether or not he will be on the team next season.

Right now, Adams and Rodgers are concentrating on the last four games of the season to save what has been a frustrating year for the Jets and their fans. Whether they can salvage any magic that might have been shared at one time in Green Bay is uncertain, but the future appears extremely cloudy for both players and the franchise.
