New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is no stranger to putting up big numbers throughout his NFL career. He has helped many fantasy football owners win titles because of the numbers he put up in the past with the Green Bay Packers. The future hall of fame quarterback has also won several NFL MVPs and also a Super Bowl MVP in his NFL career.
Rodgers getting hurt last year in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills was gut-wrenching to the Jets franchise. They were stuck with Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle, and drama for the rest of the season. New York finished with a 7-10 record and has not made the playoffs in 13 seasons.
Aaron Rodgers hopes to save this team from the basement this season. It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers of Rodgers will put up this season.
Passing Yards Props For New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Entering the 2024 Season
FanDuel Sportsbook released the odds for Aaron Rodgers’s passing yards for the upcoming 2024 season. The over/under this season for him will be 3600.5 passing yards. The odds are -112 for him to hit the over or the under. As the starting quarterback in the NFL, there were only two instances Rodgers did not go over 3,600.5 yards in a single season, including a season ago.
In 2013, he played in nine games and threw for 2,536 yards. In 2017, he played in seven games and threw for 1,657 yards. Even if he were to start all 17 games this season for the New York Jets, it may not feel like a slam dunk to go over the mark at 40 years old.
The Jets only have one reliable wide receiver, Garrett Wilson. They will want to run the football often with Breece Hall. The safe bet for Rodgers’ total passing yards would be to bet the under 3,600.5 yards passing at -112 odds.
Passing Touchdowns
The over/under for Rodgers passing touchdowns this season is 25.5 total passing touchdowns. The odds for him to hit the over is -118 and the under for him is -108. Other than last season, he only has not reached that total three times. In 2013, he threw for 17 touchdowns, in 2017, he threw for 16 touchdowns, and in the following year 2018, he threw exactly 25 touchdowns.
This season, it would feel like another good bet to bet on the under of 25.5 total touchdowns at -108 odds for Aaron Rodgers. He will want to prove people wrong, but the Jets offense may struggle even with Rodgers because of the questions about the offensive line play.
