Even though Aaron Rodgers is a proud member of the New York Jets, he is not done picking on his former rival the Chicago Bears. However, this time it came from a wild incident involving a teammate of his Sauce Gardner.
New York Jets Get A Visit From Family Of Bears
While Rodgers was on the Green Bay Packers he was the king of the Bears, specifically beating them 24 out of 29 times that he faced them. He was as remarkable as you can be against a single-team, throwing for 64 passing touchdowns with a 109.0 quarterback rating in those games.
Because of his incredible dominance over the Bears, he declared that he owned his rivals.
However, now Rodgers took quite the weird incident and used it to poke more fun at his former rivals. This all started on Monday night when Rodgers’s teammate and fellow All-Pro Sauce Gardener got a visit from a family of bears in the privacy of his own home. He went on to post the video of at least 6 bears coming very close to his doorstep:
The family of bears just walked to my house once again and I think they trynna jump me. Do I call a truce with them and just start feeding them and taking care of them? pic.twitter.com/UwlYFIzeP5

“The family of bears just walked to my house once again and I think they trynna jump me,” Gardner wrote. “Do I call a truce with them and just start feeding them and taking care of them?”
Rodgers in his usual comedic fashion used this as an opportunity to take a dig at his former rival again, but in the best way. Since it is no longer his job to own the Bears he is passing it on:
“I think he should call Jordan Love,” Rodgers said. “I think he’s the owner of them right now.”
It’s beautiful to see Rodgers handing the reigns to Love as he is not the effective owner of the Bears until proven otherwise.
Love kept the tradition alive by leading Green Bay to victories over Chicago in his first and final game of the 2023 regular season. He totaled 561 yards and five touchdowns with no picks. This is in line with Rodgers’ week one comment when he congratulated Love for:
“keeping the ownership in place.”
Even though Rodgers has taken his talents to New York, he can never forget his ownership stake in the Chicago Bears. He will have to lock back in this week to build on their 2 game-win streak.
