There is plenty of intrigue on the side of the New York Giants, and a big reason why is the composition of their quarterback room. Having moved on from Daniel Jones, the Giants decided to go in the direction that ended with New York signing not one but two veteran gunslingers in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Neither quarterback is expected to be anything other than a short-term filler under center for New York.
It is a little bit different story for rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, whose youth, potential and ceiling inspire some hope about his chances to become a future franchise quarterback for the Giants, who have long been searching for stability in the position since the retirement of Eli Manning.
Winston loves what he saw from Dart during practice

During practice on Tuesday, the former Ole Miss Rebels star had a highlight touchdown throw that got the attention of Winston, who signed a two-year contract worth $8 million with the Giants in the offseason.
Winston seemed excited by Dart’s TD throw, which Giants fans hope was a glimpse of what he can do once he gets the keys to the offense.
Dart’s spring could not have ended any better than it did Tuesday. He maneuvered in the pocket and fired a pass to the right corner of the end zone into the arms of undrafted wide receiver Dalen Cambre on his final pass of the afternoon.
“All touchdowns we love,” Winston said of the pass. “I don’t think there has been one touchdown that I haven’t loved in my life. So we were excited about that. But it’s just the beginning.”
